Freedom PNS System

Stimwave devices work by providing electrical impulses to a target area in the body. These impulses are intended to interrupt or change the pain signals, inducing the feeling of tingling or numbness (paresthesia), and possibly reducing or replacing the feeling of pain. This is a minimally invasive, long-term treatment option for chronic pain conditions relating to upper and lower limbs, entrapment syndromes, intercostal neuralgias, and other peripheral injuries or disease. After implantation of the leads the patient is given a handheld programmer to control the stimulation settings.
The Freedom Peripheral Nerve Stimulator System (PNS) utilizes the same technology as the Freedom PNS System. A neurostimulator with electrodes and a receiver to utilize wireless RF power is placed near a peripheral nerve in your body, below the head, to treat your chronic pain. Fitting through a small incision allows for placement with minimally invasive surgery, typically as an outpatient procedure.
